Thanks for your interest in our Monday night defensive pistol match.

Equipment is simple:

-Centerfire pistol or revolver in good working order, 9mm/.38 special or larger. No porting or “race guns” are allowed, slide mounted dot sights and mounted weapon lights are acceptable.

-Three magazines or speed loaders. Four is better. Standard capacity magazines may be used, but are downloaded to 10 rounds.

-50 rounds of ammunition, but bring 100. Reloads are fine. No armor piercing, incendiary, tracer, or multi-projectile loads are allowed.

-STRONG SIDE belt holster (OWB or IWB) that does not collapse when the gun is removed. We do not allow any type of cross draw, ankle, small of the back, or shoulder holsters.

-Carriers for your magazines or speed loaders are helpful, but not required.

-Appropriate eye and ear protection.

If you have not shot organized IDPA/USPSA or similar competition before (or in the past two years) we require you observe a minimum of one evening before we allow you to shoot.

Start time is 6pm CST, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to have a short safety brief. No pre-registration is required. The match ends when all shooters have completed the courses of fire, usually around 8:30, but occasionally later. All needed targets are provided.

Note the Sig P320 is banned from this match.

Rules for attendance at this match:

1. Always follow the Range Safety Officer's commands.

2. Always be aware of you surroundings.

3. When not actively collecting brass stay behind the white line while the firing line is active.

4. Once the “range is secure” command is given proceed to collect brass

5. If the course of fire involves movement by the shooter the travel path must be cleared before any other areas.

6. The travel path is defined by the path the shooter must take to complete the string and a few feet left and right of the path to allow the individual shooter to choose their own path.

7. After the brass is collected return to behind the white line with the brass.

8. If using the mop style broom do not shake or stamp the mop head.  This will cause the powder residue to be spread into the air.

9. After the brass is collected check for aluminum or steel cases.  These should be picked out and put in the bucket labeled for aluminum/steel.

10. If a shooter is using a non-common round, try to separate them from the rest of the brass before running the brass through the sorting baskets for the shooter to collect if they reload.

11. Utilize the time between strings to collect brass that has been scattered away from the travel path or trapped under objects used for the string.

12. There are 3 sorting baskets.  One is for .45 cal., one for .40 cal /10mm and one for 9mm.  Stack them in descending size order over a empty bucket.  Dump the brass into the baskets and sift them.

13. At the end of the night each shooter is allowed to take approximately the same number of cases that they shot.  If a shooter does not want their brass, they may give them to another shooter.

14. At the end of the night after all equipment has been put away check the floor for any brass left.
